When I lost my lovely mum nearly 5 years ago, I ended up with a little bag of knitted squares that she had made. It took me a long while before I could touch them, but recently I decided to do something with them. I ended up making 4 cushions, one for myself and one of each of my 3 siblings. One half has mum’s knitted square, and the other half has a square I knitted. I loved how my knitting was so completely different from my Mums. She was such a neat knitter, while my squares are a bit loose and wonky. Love how they turned out. 💖

I’ve been making some colourful fabric door stop

I’ve been making some colourful fabric door stops lately. I’ve been using up my decorator fabric scraps, and filling them with 1kg dried chickpeas and wadding. They add some colour, and they have the added bonus of stopping my teenagers from slamming the doors! I’ve made 3 versions, my favourite is the first one 💕
