The Darcy girls dress, in sizes 4 – 14 girls is a comfortable dress with a unique
silhouette. The dress is made with stretch knit material and offers three sleeve options – an
action back singlet top, a raglan style short sleeve, and a raglan style 3/4 length sleeve. The
neckline and armholes have bound edges, the fitted bodice features an empire line and
both front and back have an optional contrast stretch lace overlay. The skirt of the dress has
soft pleats across the front and back, and a cowl shaped draped silhouette that hide side
in seam pockets. You are sure to fall in love with the Darcy dress.
FABRICS – This pattern has been designed for stretchy and high stretch knits with 50 % – 100% stretch factor. Rayon blends, lightweight cotton lycra, french terry.
Rayon blends give a lovely soft drape. I have used a rayon/spandex (6%) fabric for my
samples. It has a 75% stretch factor and is a medium weight at 190 grams.
More stable knits such as t-shirt jersey knits will work, but you may have to go up a size.
If your stretch material is super stretchy and lightweight, you may need to go down a size.

The dress can be made on a regular sewing machine if you don’t have an overlocker/serger.

In your download you will receive a full pattern set in Australian sizes 4, 5, 6, 6X, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14. The pattern is computer generated and features a different colour for every size. The pattern has a clever layers function so you can print out only the size you need. Both imperial and metric measurements are used.
